Full Terms and Conditions

1. About us

This Website is owned and updated by White’s Cake House and operated by Sensory Perception. By ordering any product from White’s Cake House you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to revise and amend the Website, our disclaimers and the Terms and Conditions at any time without notice to you. Your continued use of the Website (or any part thereof) or services following an amendment shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check the website regularly to determine whether the Terms and Conditions have been amended.

2. Consultations

Consultations are by appointment only and are held at my home in Tavistock. This involves viewing a variety of my display cakes and tasting several of my most popular flavours. We will discuss all aspects of the perfect cake you would like, working through design, sizes, colours, flavours, delivery and set up. There is no charge for this consultation service.

3. Payment, Cancellation rights and Refunds.

A deposit of £50 is required to secure your chosen date. This is non-refundable or transferable. Cleared payment of the outstanding balance, including any cake stand deposits (see below) must be received by the due date shown on your Sales Agreement (normally one calendar month prior to the chosen date) for work on your cake to be completed.

Cake orders which are cancelled at short notice (within one calendar month of the chosen date) will still be charged for in full as we are rarely able to rebook dates at such short notice.

Payment can be made by Bank transfer, cash, cheque or Pay Pal. By placing an order you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

4. Prices

Prices for our Wedding cakes depend on many factors including size, design complexity, amount and type of decoration and flavour choice etc. Please take a look at the Information page where guide prices are available. This will give you an idea of the cost of our cakes.

5. Delivery

We will deliver and set up your cake on the morning of your wedding (chosen date) at a time suited to you/venue, this will be confirmed at your consultation. We deliver to venues across the South West. We are not responsible for any damage to the cake once set up is complete. You are responsible for ensuring the venue provide a safe and secure platform and suitable environment for the cake.

Note: We strongly recommend that tiered cakes are delivered and set up by us and not collected by the customer as they are very fragile. We are not responsible for any damage caused to your cake once collected by a customer.

6. Allergy information

Our cakes contain dairy products, flour (gluten), eggs, preserves and other allergens. They are made in an environment that occasionally handles nuts, soy and alcohol. You agree to notify all persons consuming the cakes of this risk and not hold us liable for any allergic reactions.

Whilst we are happy to make cakes with allergen-free ingredients and with every effort made to ensure they are suitable, we cannot guarantee an allergen free environment and therefore accept no liability to customers suffering from any allergic reactions.

7. Cake stands

We have a wide selection of cake stands that can be temporarily loaned to accompany your cake. We require a deposit which is fully refundable upon safe return in original condition within seven days of your chosen date. The deposit amount varies depending on the cake stand chosen from £30 to £100. Unfortunately we can only provide cake stands to our customers.

8. Privacy policy

We only ever use your contact details for the purpose for which you have contacted us. We never pass on your details to any third party.

9. Copyright and images

On occasion we will photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you. All images on the website along with cake designs are copyright to White’s Cake House and cannot be used without prior consent or White’s Cake House.
